City Council vote -- 2024
Burlington city council — in Vermont’s largest metro area — recently voted 11-1 to stop the Lockheed Martin first strike jets (F-35) being based in our airport. If we didn’t have a foot-dragging Republican governor, this might make a difference.
Vote the Governor out of office!!!
Esther Charlestin 🙏🏽✍🏾 Hopeful she will be our next governor. We, my husband Pete and I, moved to Burlington VT’s ONE in 2016. At that time, the F-16’s were dominating the sky, which we thought were quite loud. Enter the F-35’s September 2019…..it literally felt like we were & still are living in a war zone. My quality of life and health has been gravely impacted since the arrival of the jets. I have written to Phil Scott along with several senators and members of congress (who were/are Dems). The majority wrote back IN DEFENSE of the F-35’s or they did not acknowledge my emails, nor calls. It is time for CHANGE!!!
