Only in America can people bitch and complain about the people who protect their freedom of speech and demand that they leave. The airport and military have been in Burlington for over 50 years - much longer than the complainers. If you do not like living in Burlington - leave. If you do not like your freedom - leave. For once in your self-centered life, do something positive for others and taking your whining elsewhere.
The US has never been threatened by invasion since our nation was formed hundreds of years ago. Our threats to freedoms cannot be protected by jets. Open your eyes. The loss of freedoms we truly suffer in come from a pandemic. We cannot be with friends and family, our business are not free to run, kids cannot go to school, we cannot travel freely, we cannot be with loved ones dying. And how about the freedom to walk streets safely because of our rampant gun violence? We have domestic terrorism far, far more a threat that a few crazy people from elsewhere. We don’t bomb where our own terrorists live, form into terrorist groups and threaten our democracy. How about all those whose lives, jobs and properties are affected by climate change? How about internet security? Do your adored jets help any of our very real threats we all face? Perceived threats are not real threats. Ask yourself honestly when you wake up each day, what threatens you the most?
The awful noise of those jets are not only disruptive to our freedom of peace and quiet and our ability to carry on a conversation, but a reminder of human arrogance and ignorance to the present moment.
We do not have endless resources to waste on flying around waving our flag in perceived threats. We have serious very real threats that need our attention.
you clearly need to spend more time in the USA! Get your head out of other countries. You need to focus on OUR problems which there are plenty and allow other countries to own their own.
